A Christmas Parade

The annual Christmas Parade was enjoyed by all. Those that were not freezing. Here are some shots of the participants and the audience of one of America's greatest traditions; the parade.

Fire and night

We had a great time around the bonfire one winter night and here are some of the specteral images that resulted. Always great to mix fire and night in a photograph.

Along the Road

Another stop along the same road. Saw this scene and absentmindedly shot it while walking back to my truck. Took it into Photoshop and made it into something I really like. It evokes solitude while doing the last chores of autumn.

Photos of the Corn

Here are some shots I took of a cornfield along the side of the road. I pulled over on a whim and with a little post processing I was really pleased with the result. I always see great pics along the road to somewhere and if I keep driving by I always experience a pang of regret at having passed them by. I'll get them later I say to my self. But those moments are unique and if I have the time I'm going to stop from now on. You just might get something special for taking a moment to stop and see God's handiwork.

Stuck in Traffic and making the best of it.

These are shots taken while stuck in a holiday traffic jam. It was really the only thing that kept me from ripping the steering wheel out of the dash while sitting for 2 and half hours. It was a rainy night and the reflection off the road and the refraction of the rain on the windshield made for some interesting shots. The colors were vibrant and the challenge was composing shots from different perspectives as the scene changed ever so slowly. Anyway, I guess you have to suffer for your art and here is the result. Hope you like them.

Fall where I live.

Fall is my favorite. The color, the smell, the falling asleep of nature for a winter's nap always touches me like no other season. These are some images that capture my autumn. I hope you enjoy them.
